If you have ever had a furry four legged friend, you’ve probably experienced pet accidents. Not fun, I know. And sometimes getting the odor out of carpet or even furniture is not easy. We had a cat that would have seizures and when he would seize he would loose control of his bladder. I wasn’t about to douse my carpets and couch with toxin filled chemicals. Here’s a great diy pet stain and odor remover with essential oils recipe.
Here’s how to make it:
- Add the salt to the empty glass spray bottle
- Add the essential oils to the salt and mix.
- Add the apple cider vingar to the spray bottle.
- Add the water to the spray bottle.
- Shake to mix and disolve salt.
After you blot up as much of the liquid from the pet stain as possible (or use a wet vac to suck up the liquid) generously spray the pet stain and odor remover where the accident was. Let soak for 15 minuts then blot or use the wet vac again.
If it's an older odor follow the same instructions but also cover the area with a thick layer of baking soda and let sit for 14 hours to pull out some of the set in odors. Vacuum to remove baking soda.
We love this diy pet stain and odor remover with essential oils because its super inexpensive to make and isn’t filled with chemicals that we don’t want our pets or kids exposed to.
