Ahh that feeling of climbing into your soft comfy bed with freshly laundered sheets. It really is one of the best feelings ever, amirite? It’s especially awesome after a long day, or if you were able to enjoy a relaxing bath right before hand. Some of the best relaxation and best sleep can come from this experience. But, life happens and sometimes you are dragging yourself to bed or aren’t feeling like you will be able to easily drift off to la la land. Or maybe your sheets aren’t so freshly laundered. Lol. Either way, you can make your linens smell absolutely amazing in just a matter of seconds! I’ve got an awesome DIY linen spray recipe I want to share with you. Like most things you can DIY with essential oils, this is completely customizable so you can make the scent just how you want. Spritz this on your sheets just before tucking yourself in for the best experience!
When you think of rest, relaxation, and drifting off to sleep, one of the first essential oils that typically comes to mind is Lavender. So, clearly, this would be a go essential oil to use in your DIY linen spray. It’s super easy to make.
Here’s how:
Grab a 2oz glass spray bottle, fill it approximately 2/3 of the way with distilled water, approximately 1/3 of the way with witch hazel or rubbing alcohol and then add in 12-15 drops of essential oil of your choice. You can just do Lavender by itself or you can get creative and mix different things together. Keep scrolling to see some amazing blends I love to use in my DIY linen spray. These are all great to create a relaxing environment perfect for a good nights rest. And I’ll share some other linen sprays at the bottom of the post that can be used for linens, but they are more fresh, awakening scents so they are also good for other areas of your home.

You could easily make any of the above listed recipes into this bigger version.
