Oh my goodness! Have you ever burnt your food so badly that you can’t even seem to clean the pan you cooked it in? It usually happens with me when I’m cooking sauces. Things like BBQ chicken, or something with honey glaze or anything sticky and gooey. Last night it was meatballs that we overcooked lol. These things are a pain to clean! So here is a great DIY cleaner for burnt pots and pans that will make cleaning these dishes so much easier!
If your a cook anything like me, you will want to make this and store it under your kitchen sink for easy (and frequent haha) use.
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide (3% solution)
10 drops Orange, Tangerine, or Grapefruit Essential Oil
Mix all in a stainless steel or glass container. Add more baking soda if needed. Apply the paste to your dirty cookware and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Rub in a circular motion. Reapply paste as needed. Rinse with water.
And that’s all there is to this easy DIY cleaner for burnt pots and pans! I love things that are simple and easy like this?
I make mine in a mason jar and store it under my sink. But you can always just make this as needed. My kids say the smoke alarm is our signal that dinner is ready, so that should tell you how often I need this in my home haha.
If you still need your essential oils you can grab them here or learn more about them here.
