8 Must Have Essential Oil Roller Recipes

Essential oil rollers (aka roll-ons) are a fabulous way to benefit from applying essential oils topically. These 8 must have essential oil roller recipes use only the essential oils that come in Young Living’s Premium Starter Bundle. Which make perfect for experienced oilers as well as those of you who are just starting out.

8 Must Have Essential Oil Roller Recipes

 1.  Muscle Love

Apply this roller to tired muscles. This is great for after a strenuous workout or any time your muscles need some extra love. It can help with occasional muscle tension and stress.  Some great places to apply it are legs, shoulders, neck, back and temples.  Add 10 drops each PanAway and Peppermint to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

2.  Just Chill

Apply this roller to your wrists or your neck so you can smell those oils all day! They will act like a personal fragrance, giving you a safe and natural alternative to conventional perfumes. If you’re a bit more sensitive try it on your feet first. We like to use these oils during stressful days or just any time we need to feel more grounded. We also like to use them at bedtime on ourselves and the kids. Remember – these oils are labeled for topical use but you can diffuse them as well. Add 15 drops each Peace & Calming and Stress Away to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

3.  Well Rested

This one has a combination of Lavender, Frankincense, and Valor. These oils are AMAZING! As the name of the roller suggests, these oils combine powerfully to help you enjoy a restful night of sleep. However, they can be used for SO much more! Apply this roller to your wrists, neck, or under your big toes (a VitaFlex point that connects to your brain). Add 12 drops Lavender, 8 drops Frankincense, and 6 drops Valor to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

4.  Wellness

This roller combines the powerful immune supporting essential oil blend Thieves with Lemon and Frankincense. Thieves is powerful on it’s own, but when you add Lemon and Frankincense it kicks it up a notch. We love to apply this to the bottoms of our feet and/or down our spines to support our body in staying above the wellness line. Add 15 drops Thieves, 10 drops Lemon, and 8 drops Frankincense, to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

5.  Grounding

Stress Away and Frankincense are two amazing essential oils for supporting emotions and emotional responses. Many people love to use Stress Away alone, as a perfume so they not only smell amazing but get the emotional support benefits all day long. Combining Frankincense and Stress Away, you get the ultimate grounding essential oil. Both of these oils help to create feelings of calm, centered and focus.  Apply this to your wrists, behind your ears, to the back of your neck, or over your heart. This is great used during prayer or meditation as well. Add 15 drops Frankincense, and 10 drops Stress Away to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

6.  Tummy Troubles

Sometimes we all need a little extra digestive support. That’s where this roller blend comes into play. Two powerful essential oils are used to make up this roller, Peppermint and Young Living’s blend, DiGize.  DiGize combines Ginger, Peppermint, Juniper, Tarragon oil, Fennel, Lemongrass, Anise, and Patchouli essential oils to support your overall wellness, especially when digestive issues are at play. Adding the Peppermint gives it not only a boost, but provides a cooling sensation as well. Add 15 drops DiGize, and 10 drops Peppermint to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

7.  Breathe

Raven is another blend expertly crafted by Young Living. This blend combines the powerful oils Eucalyptus Radiata, Lemon, Peppermint, Ravintsara, and Wintergreen to support our respiratory systems. It’s aroma is a minty, chilly blend with some sweet undertones thrown in. When applied topically to the chest and throat it creates a cooling sensation. It is refreshing alone, but when you add some more Lemon to it, the clean freshness gets kicked up. This breathe roller helps to create a refreshing, invigorating experience when applied topically. Add 15 drops Raven, and 15 drops Lemon to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

8.  Tantrum Tamer

My oh my how we use this one often lol. And I’m not just talking about for my kiddos lol. We all need this in our home some days. Peace & Calming is a blend of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy. This is my 6 year old’s favorite essential oil. She knows when she’s “in a mood” to go grab this one. If you combine Peace & Calming with Citrus Fresh, oh my gosh, it’s like Heaven on Earth! It creates such a calming, soothing and uplifting atmosphere!  We love to apply this to our wrists, forearms, and behind our ears. Add 20 drops Peace & Calming, and 10 drops Citrus Fresh to a 10ml roller bottle. Fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil (I like grapeseed or jojoba).

There you have it, 8 must have essential oil roller recipes using only the starter bundle oils. How fantastic do all of these sound?!  I’m excited for you to try these out and let me know what you think!
